Chainsaw, Single Product Review

Earlier with the discussion of Husqvarna 455 Rancher, we got to know that the chainsaw was meant for heavy dusty tasks only.

Now is the time that we move forward with Husqvarna 435 Gas Chainsaw that’s regarded as one of the best tools for light and medium wood cutting work.

Although the design and shape it has got, resembles what we saw in the Rancher, this tool is compact and portable enough.

Besides, it could as well be used for pruning, cutting medium sized wood logs, and maintaining the backyard without spending a lot of money.

All in all, let us dig deep into Husqvarna 435 chainsaw review in 2024 and see what it has got for us as follows:

What Makes Husqvarna 435 Gas Chainsaw a Standout in 2024?

Featuring a powerful 40.9cc dual-stroke engine, the 435 chainsaw makes sure that you can cut thick limbs and shrubs with ease.

On top of that, one of the reasons homeowners like it is its LIGHTWEIGHT design. Yeah, the gas chainsaw weighs lighter than the Rancher and is easy to maneuver at the same time.

Husqvarna uses the LowVib© patented technology to reduce the vibration while the chainsaw is cutting wood logs.

Furthermore, it also uses the X-Torque© to ensure low fuel consumption and emissions.

All these reasons are more than enough to make Husqvarna 435 stand out among its competitors.

I got my hands on this beautiful too, two months ago as I ordered it directly from Amazon.

Have a look at how this gas chainsaw turned out for me in terms of first expressions, cutting interface, and ease of handling.

Our Review of Husqvarna 435 16” Gas Chainsaw in 2024:

As usual, Husqvarna didn’t surprise me as the chainsaw was properly boxed and wrapped to keep it safe during the shipment.

It was not assembled, so it took me around 10 minutes to get it assembled with a 16” bar and chain. (Both accessories were available within the package)

First impressions: The gas chainsaw felt extremely lightweight and compact as compared to what I experienced with the 455 chainsaw.

I held it up for at least 5 minutes and not even once did I feel any pressure on my hands or arms.

Testing Husqvarna 16-Inch Gas Chainsaw

Anyways, I used the usual 50:1 fuel formula to fill up the fuel box along with Husqvarna Bar and chain oil. Good thing! There was no spilling issue as both windows were positioned properly.

Took it out for first test and used it on a 12” wood log. It made fine 5 to 6 cuts without causing any kickback problem.

I moved along with testing a 14” thick wood log. The chainsaw was able to slice it fine enough without causing any problem.

Plus, I had two thick trees waiting for some pruning and maintenance job. So, I hooked the 435 tool on my belt and climbed up both trees. Took out some thick limbs and shrubs with the chainsaw and it worked like a charm for me.

Overall a solid performance. The anti-vibration feature worked just fine as I didn’t feel any fatigue while using the chainsaw.

The chainsaw also consumed less fuel compared to what I experienced with 455 Rancher. Turns out, it’s a perfect tool for occasional as well as heavy-duty work at an affordable rate.

Important Technical Features Husqvarna 435 Offers in 2024

Let’s now discuss some of the technicalities that this lightweight gas chainsaw offers:

Powerful Engine:

The chainsaw, first of all, comes with a powerful 40.9cc dual-stroke gas engine. Husqvarna 435 gas chainsaw engine

That said, it produces around 2.2HP power and ensures a highly efficient cutting performance at the same time.

Husqvarna also uses the X-Torque© technology that offers low fuel consumption along with a low emission rate.

It enables the tool to perform even better without utilizing a lot of fuel. With one full fuel box, I cut down three to four 12” wood logs into fine pieces without any hassle.

In a nutshell, the engine performs like a beast and I have to appreciate the mechanics of Husqvarna here.

Bar and Chain Mechanics:

The gas chainsaw also features a 16” long bar made up of stainless steel alloy. It’s durable, rugged, and could penetrate deep inside thick materials at the same time.

Other than that, the chain seems sharp enough. The manufacturer uses bucket spikes in its standard chains to make sure that they can slice wood materials without any hassle.

Apart from that, an automatic oiler is also present that ensures proper lubrication to keep the chain away from wear and tear.

You could easily expect the chainsaw to penetrate rough and tough wood materials without getting stuck or causing kickbacks.

Low-Vib© Anti-Vibration Technology:

As Husqvarna takes the vibration problems quite seriously, it has introduced a Low-Vib© technology in 435 gas chainsaw.

It disperses the vibration while the tool is cutting limbs or thick shrubs. As a result, you’ll have full control of the chainsaw. Plus, you can direct it anywhere you want.

Low-vibration interface also enables old homeowners to keep the chainsaw in control. The tool will not slip out of your hands no matter how much powerful it gets.

Easy Chain Tensioning System:

Moving further, the easy side-mounted chain tensioning system makes it easier for homeowners to maintain the chainsaw on regular basis.

A piece of advice here! Always tighten the chain before you start cutting wood. It will ensure an easy and sharp cutting interface and will keep the chain away from pulling off again and again.

The manufacturer already provides a small ranch that you could use to adjust the chain tension without any hassle.

Effortless Starting:

The gas chainsaw from Husqvarna offers effortless starting. Thanks to its easy pulling cord, you could make the tool operational within 5 to 6 kicks.

Make sure that you pull the choke and press the pressure button before kicking the chainsaw.

As per my experience, I got it started within 3 to 4 kicks only. Maybe that’s because I use high octane fuel and standard manufacturer bar and chain oil only.

That’s what I also recommend to valuable readers “Never go for cheap fuel or oil options or it will simply destroy any home tool you own.”

Air Injection Cleaning System:

Air injection cleaning system could remove large dust particles and debris meanwhile you are busy cutting thick firewood material.

It keeps the engine safe from dust, pollution, and small particles that could alter its efficiency and degrade it.

Easy Handling:

Lastly, the Husqvarna gas-powered chainsaw does come with a fully wrapped handle that resembles the design of 455 Rancher.

More precisely you could handle the tool both vertically and horizontally to cut different trees, limbs, shrubs, or wood trunks without any hassle.

Easy handling also ensures better portability along with a fatigue-less working interface.
